AppleImport books, audiobooks or PDFs in Books on Mac You can import content you didn’t get from the Book Store or Audiobook Store, such as PDFs, mp3 audiobooks, Audible audiobooks and many EPUB books. Note: Some content (such as ACSM, AZW and ODM files) can only be opened in the associated third-party app. If you’re not sure which app you need to open your book or audiobook, check with the library or eBook store that provided the content. Go to the Books app on your Mac. Choose File > Import. Select the books, audiobooks or PDFs you want to import, then click Import. You can also drag and drop books, PDFs, and some audiobooks into your library. Note: PDFs open in Preview (or your default PDF reader), rather than in Books. If you have imported books, purchased audiobooks and PDFs on your other devices, you can use iCloud for Books to see them on your Mac.

GoogleYou can read PDF and EPUB documents with Google Play Books. When you upload PDF and EPUB files to Play Books, you can read them on any device you sign in to. With EPUB documents, you can also use bookmarks, highlights, and notes across your devices. Android ComputeriPhone & iPad Upload PDF & EPUB files On your device, open Google Play Books . At the top right, tap your profile picture. Tap Play Books settings. Check the box next to Enable PDF uploading. Download a PDF or EPUB file to your device. Open your Downloads or Files app. Find the file. Tap More Open With Play Books or Upload to Play Books. To find uploaded files in the Play Books app, tap Library Uploads. Alternatively, you can upload files to Play Books through Gmail. Attach the PDF or EPUB you want to upload to an email. Send the email to yourself. Tap the attachment Upload to Play Books. Tip: You only need to check Enable PDF uploading if you want to upload a PDF. You can upload an EPUB from your email without changing settings in the Play Books app. Upload PDF & EPUB files On your computer, go to your Play Books library. From the left, click Your books. At the top, click Upload files. Find the .pdf or .epub file you want to upload. Click Select. To find a file you uploaded, go to your Uploads library. Upload files On your iPhone or iPad, open the Files folder. Tap Open with Play Books app. Read your content. Tip: You can upload an EPUB or PDF directly from your email.

BookeenTo import PDF files into your Bookeen app, you can typically connect your Bookeen device to your computer, then drag and drop the PDF files into the Bookeen's internal storage or a designated folder. Connect your Bookeen to your computer: Use a USB cable to connect your device to your computer. Navigate to the Bookeen's storage: Your computer should recognize the Bookeen as a storage device. Locate the PDF files: Find the PDF files you want to import on your computer. Drag and drop: Drag and drop the PDF files into the Bookeen's internal storage or a designated folder. Eject the device: Once the files are transferred, safely eject the Bookeen from your computer. Open the Bookeen app: Open the Bookeen app on your device and navigate to your library or the section where you can access imported files. Find the imported PDFs: The PDF files should now be available in your library. Alternative Methods: Cloud Storage: Some Bookeen devices support cloud storage services like Google Drive or Dropbox, allowing you to upload and access PDF files remotely. Email: You can also send PDF files to your Bookeen device via email and then open the attachment in the Bookeen app. Kobo Books App: If you have a Kobo eReader, you can use the Kobo Books app to import PDF files from your device. Go to your Home screen and tap the Profile icon. Tap Import Items and then Start. Select the items you want to import and tap Import Selected.

Barnes & NobleNOOK Tablet Devices – Sideloading Files Sideloading means transferring files from your personal computer to your NOOK over the USB cable. To sideload content: 1. Connect your NOOK to your computer using the compatible USB cable 2. On your NOOK, swipe down from the top edge of the display to open the Notifications menu and tap on “USB for charging”. 3. Select “Transfer files (MTP)”. 4. Use the File Explorer on your computer to access the storage on your NOOK. Once you have connected your NOOK to your computer, you will be able to access your NOOK’s storage as though it were another drive connected to your computer. 5. Select the files you want to transfer from your computer, then drag and drop them from your computer to the storage of your NOOK. NOTE: You can view PDF documents using the NOOK software by copying the PDF file from your computer to the NOOK/copy folder location in internal storage. 6. Once you finish sideloading the files you want to transfer, disconnect your NOOK from your computer by using your computer’s file system to eject your NOOK as if you are ejecting a disk. 7. Use your NOOK’s File Manager app to view files copied to your NOOK’s storage. To view the amount of storage available on your NOOK, open the Settings app, and select “Storage & USB”. You can also transfer files to your NOOK using Dropbox or any other file-sharing app you have installed on your NOOK. Barnes & Noble NOOK App for Android - Sideloading Non DRM ePub eBooks The Barnes & Noble NOOK App for Android makes reading from your mobile device even easier by allowing you to read Barnes & Noble digital content as well as third party ePub (Non DRM) files. This article describes the steps on how to sideload ePub (Non DRM) files to your Android mobile device and read them on NOOK for Android. 1. Connect (Mount) your phone to your PC or Mac to access the folder structure. 2. Open the Nook Folder. 3. Open the My Documents Folder. 4. Drag any ePub files into the folder. 5. Disconnect your phone from PC or Mac. 6. Open NOOK for Android app. 7. From the home screen select the My Files button. 8. You should be then able to open and read any of your files. Third Party DRM protected ePub files are not compatible with NOOK for Android. At this time, only ePub files are supported, we are evaluating adding support for other types (pdf, pdb, etc). Sideload Content on iOS Device To sideload ePub (non DRM) and PDF files into our app and read them on your iPad, iPod, or iPhone: 1. Open iTunes on your PC or Mac 2. Connect (Mount) your iPhone or iPad to your PC or Mac and select your device in iTunes. 3. In iTunes, select the Apps tab or In iTunes, scroll to the File Sharing section and select the NOOK application. 4. In iTunes, drag any ePub or PDF files into the NOOK Documents panel. 5. Once iTunes has finished syncing to your device, disconnect your iPhone or iPad from the PC or Mac. 6. Open the Barnes & Noble NOOK App on your iPhone/iPad. In the Library, perform a manual sync by touching the Sync button - In the library, filter by All Items or My Files to locate the file. You should be then able to open and read any of your files.

How to delete files To delete a book using the PocketBook Cloud website, select "Delete" from the drop-down menu of the book. Then click on the delete icon in the top menu bar. To remove a book from your account using PocketBook e-reader, or an application for reading on Android or IOS devices, select the book from the library list and open the context menu. You will be offered two options - "Delete" (from device memory) and "Delete from Cloud". Is it possible to recover files If the file was stored on PocketBook Cloud and was deleted only from the device memory, it will appear again after next synchronization. If the file was deleted from the Cloud there is no possibility to restore it. How to download books from cloud To download book to the memory of your e-ink, Android or IOS device just tap on the Cloud book from the books list in the Library and the downloading process will begin automatically. In order to download a book from PocketBook Cloud to your computer, select "Download" from the drop-down menu of the book. (To call the drop-down menu - click on the icon in the form of three points). To download several books at the same time, you can select these books using Ctrl + left mouse button. Then click on the download icon in the top line of menu bar. How to read book from browser At the moment, you can read from the browser books in EPUB and PDF formats. To open a book in the browser, click on the book cover (in the "Tiles" mode), or on the line with the book title (in the "List" mode). In a new window, the book will be opened in a web-reader. You can also open the book from the "Information about the book" drop-down menu. Reading from the browser is also subject for synchronization, so your reading positions, bookmarks, and notes will be saved. To exit the book - click on the "Exit" icon in the left corner of the application window.

KoboTo add a non-protected PDF or ePub file to your eReader: Turn on your eReader. Connect the micro USB cable to your eReader and to your computer. On your eReader, tap Connect when you see the 'Computer detected' window. Note: If you don't see the 'Computer detected' window, follow the steps in this article to see USB troubleshooting steps. On your computer, look for a drive named 'KOBOeReader'. Drag the PDF or ePub files into the 'Kobo eReader' drive. Eject your eReader: Right-click on the 'KOBOeReader' drive on your computer's desktop and click Eject. Unplug the USB cable from your eReader. You'll see a "Importing content" message on your Reader To find the file you just added on your eReader: Go to your Home screen. Tap My Books at the bottom of the screen.
